The poker around Ivan Perisic is apparently over. According to media reports, the Croatian is about to move to Juventus.

A decision has apparently been made in the race for midfielder Ivan Perisic. As Gazzetta dello Sport reports, the 33-year-old Croatian is about to move to Juventus. Accordingly, the former Bundesliga player in Turin will receive a four-year contract and an annual salary of six million euros.

The left winger decided against moving to the island. According to media reports, Chelsea and Newcastle United also competed for the services of the 2018 runner-up. There have already been reports of an agreement between Perisic and the Blues.

Ivan Perisic: Two goals in the cup final against Juventus

Perisic is one of the long-running favorites at Inter this season, only missing out on three competitive games for the Nerazzurri. In 48 appearances Perisic scored nine goals and prepared just as many. Most recently, in the Coppa final, he played a decisive part in his team’s cup triumph against his presumed future employer Juve with two goals.

Perisic switched from VfL Wolfsburg to Inter in the summer of 2015, played on loan at FC Bayern in the 2019/20 season and won the treble under coach Hansi Flick.

A farewell to the Croatian could reshuffle the cards for national player Robin Gosens at Inter. Since moving from Atalanta Bergamo to Milan in January, the 27-year-old has been unable to get past his experienced team-mate on the left flank and has to be content with short appearances.
