Rach becomes rough: the Berlin top chef embarks on a culinary rescue mission and becomes the new restaurant tester on RTL. Restaurateurs are still being sought who want help with their operations.

He is one of Germany’s best and most famous chefs. And he has relevant television experience. The 48-year-old will be able to bring these two skills together perfectly in his new show. In “Die Restauranttester” he succeeds Christian Rach and visits restaurateurs across the country who are in financial difficulties. Together with the owners, the star chef wants a new concept that should save the restaurant.

Tim Raue knows what he is talking about. The successful chef can look back on an eventful professional past: “I’ve managed countless restaurants successfully in my life, but I also had to close some,” says the 48-year-old. “After almost 30 years in the industry, I know which screws need to be adjusted and when and which new concept makes sense.” His wife Katharina Wolschner will also be involved in the format and contribute her expertise. She was editor-in-chief of “Rollin Pin”, the trade magazine for gastronomy and the hotel industry, and is considered a marketing expert. Together, the two want to develop an identity with the restaurants.

Tim Raue has a lot of experience

They should not have decreased in the past two years: the industry suffered particularly during the Corona pandemic, many livelihoods are at stake. Tim Raue believes he can help: “Gastronomy can bring endless joy,” says the top chef.
