‘Doctor Strange’ actress Zara Phythian has been jailed for eight years for sexually abusing a teenage girl.

Stuntwoman and actress Zara Phythian (37), who starred in the Marvel blockbuster “Doctor Strange” alongside Benedict Cumberbatch (45) and Mads Mikkelsen (56), has been sentenced to eight years in prison. The British court responsible, Nottingham Crown Court, imposed the sentence on Monday (May 16) after it found it proven that Phythian and her husband Victor Marke (59) repeatedly sexually abused a 13-year-old girl. This is reported by “BBC News”.

The crimes took place between 2005 and 2008, when the victim, who is now an adult, was between 13 and 15 years old. Phythian’s husband was even sentenced to 14 years in prison. He also abused a 15-year-old girl without his wife’s help. In addition, according to Judge Mark Watson, he was the driving force behind the crimes.

22 years younger than her husband

Watson is quoted by BBC News as saying: “In light of the evidence I have heard, I have no doubt that your abnormal behavior was shaped by the influence he [brand, ed.] had on you from a young age.” Phythian is 22 years younger than her husband – at the time of the first crime together, she was only 20 years old. Both rejected the allegations to the end.
