Zlatan Ibrahimovic won AC Milan the long-awaited Italian championship – but now he has revealed that he is in unbelievable pain.
Superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic made an emotional statement after winning the Serie A title.
On Instagram, the AC Milan striker described a difficult period of suffering during the past season.
“For the last six months I’ve played without a cruciate ligament in my left knee. Swollen knee for six months. I’ve only been able to train with the team ten times in the last six months. More than twenty injections in the last six months. The knee once a Empty the week for six months. Painkillers every day for six months. Hardly slept for the past six months because of the pain. I’ve never suffered so much on and off the pitch,” admitted Ibrahimovic.
Ibrahimovic: Despite the pain with Milan for the Serie A title
But the 40-year-old continued to be combative as usual: “I made something impossible into something possible. In my head there was only one goal: to make my teammates and my coach champions. Because I promised them. Today I have me a new cruciate ligament and another trophy.”
Despite the serious injury, Ibrahimovic is considered a key player for Milan on the way to the Scudetto – not only because of his eight goals and three assists in 23 appearances, but also because of his role as a motivator for the team. After a knee operation, the Swede is now out for a long time.
