If everything goes according to plan, the Hamburg musician wants to be part of British pop star Elton John’s farewell tour – not on stage, but as a fan in the audience. But he doesn’t want to swap places with him.
The hip-hop musician Jan Delay (46) dreams of a very specific concert visit as a fan: “I really want to go to Elton John again in my life,” said the singer of the German Press Agency.
There aren’t too many opportunities to see the British star anymore. Elton John (75) had announced that he wanted to say goodbye to the stage with his ongoing Farewell Yellow Brick Road farewell tour. “In May 2023 he will come to Hamburg again, then it has to work out,” says Jan Delay.
However, the Hamburg rapper does not wish for a career like that of Elton John, who has been enjoying worldwide success for more than five decades. “The guy has been on a plane every day for over 50 years, flying around the world for his concerts. That wouldn’t be for me – I have my tranquil Germany, Austria, Switzerland, that’s enough for me.”
