In April 2021, “Peaky Blinders” star Helen McCrory died of cancer. Her husband Damian Lewis seems ready for love again.

More than a year has passed since actor Damian Lewis (51) had to say goodbye to his wife Helen McCrory (1968-2021). The British actress died of cancer in April 2021 at the age of 52. Around 14 months after the loss, Lewis seems to be open to love again. According to British media reports, he was recently spotted on several dates with singer Alison Mosshart (43).

“Mail on Sunday” reports that the actor and the musician were spotted together on the London public transport system last Thursday. A passenger told the newspaper that the stars were “100 percent romantic” and they looked like they were on a “hot date”. The supposed couple seemed “very happy” together.

Two joint public appearances

That same evening, Lewis and Mosshart appeared together at the summer party at London’s Serpentine Gallery. Photos of the event show the two smiling and deep in conversation. The ‘Homeland’ actor paired green dress pants with a plaid tweed jacket at the event. Singer Mosshart wore plaid skinny jeans and a blue denim jacket.

A week earlier, Lewis and Mosshart were first spotted together. They posed for photos together at a fundraiser at London’s National Gallery. It is unclear if they met there. So far, neither The Kills singer nor the actor have commented on the alleged love rumors.

Helen McCrory wanted Lewis to have “many girlfriends” after her

Before her death, Lewis’ wife McCrory encouraged him to have girlfriends, “a lot of them”. The 51-year-old revealed this in a moving article about the late “Harry Potter” actress for the “Sunday Times”. She added, in her typically humorous way, “At least try to get the funeral over with without making out with anyone.”

Her two children, 15-year-old Manon and 14-year-old Gulliver, also wanted to comfort the dying native of London. “Don’t be sad,” she said to them. “Even though I’ll be giving up soon, I’ve lived the life I wanted to live.”
