BVB newcomer Karim Adeyemi is not quite so happy about the dismissal of coach Marco Rose at Borussia Dortmund.

New signing Karim Adeyemi mourns the loss of recently sacked BVB coach Marco Rose after both worked together at RB Salzburg in the past.

“I would have gotten along well with Marco Rose, I found him very likeable. But that’s the world of football,” said the 20-year-old on Sky Austria. Adeyemi will play for Borussia Dortmund next season and was probably counting on Rose as a coach when he signed. “I didn’t know anything either,” said the attacker, surprised. “If Dortmund decided that way, unfortunately there’s nothing you can do.”

Now the top scorer from the Austrian Bundesliga will storm into the Bundesliga with Edin Terzic as the new trainer. Adeyemi has signed a contract until 2027. The striker has scored 19 goals for Salzburg this season.

Schlotterbeck from Rose-Aus also surprised

Another newcomer had previously commented on the separation from Rose. Nico Schlotterbeck said after losing the cup final against RB Leipzig: “I didn’t think about it that much, but it also came as a surprise to me, but you have to live with it. I had good discussions with him, but they will find a good solution. The Dortmund vision convinced me.”

The RB Leipzig coach, Domenico Tedesco, had a similar experience: “I think it’s crazy, I really have to say. It was very surprising for me,” said the 36-year-old at a press conference before winning the cup.
