PSG has apparently taken the option to buy left-back Nuno Mendes and is transferring 40 million euros to Sporting in Lisbon.

Left-back Nuno Mendes will remain at Paris Saint-Germain beyond next season. As transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports, PSG has drawn the purchase option of 40 million euros for the 19-year-old.

Mendes was on loan from Sporting Lisbon last season for a loan fee of seven million euros, and he played a total of 37 competitive games for the French champions.

Nuno Mendes has become a regular at PSG

Mendes has made 13 appearances for Portugal and is now a regular in Mauricio Pochettino’s star squad, while also benefiting from Juan Bernat’s injury.

The defender would be PSG’s first official transfer for the coming season, standing alongside the departures of reserve keeper Alexandre Letellier and attacking star Angel Di Maria.
