This is the end of a battle that has opposed for several years the hotel platforms of a seasonal rental of furnished tourist. By introducing a system of sanctions, the law Elan, published last weekend in the official Journal, should (finally) help to frame the expansion of the phenomenon.

The short-term rental has become such a problem that Paris became the first city in the world of Airbnb and France, its second largest market after the United States. The obligations to platforms and companies are not new: publish the registration number of the rented accommodation in the cities that have implemented this procedure (Paris, Nice, Lyon, Bordeaux, Tours, etc.); adhere to a maximum period of 120 rental days per year for a principal residence.
