Liverpool FC is apparently working on a transfer from Barca jewel Gavi. This gives FC Bayern financially powerful competition.
In the campaign for midfield jewel Gavi from FC Barcelona, FC Bayern apparently has prominent competition. As the Spanish newspaper Sport reports, Liverpool wants to draw the 17-year-old’s release clause of 50 million euros.
Actually, Barca really want to extend their home-grown talent, Gavi, together with other young stars like Pedri and Ansu Fati, should be the face of the rebuilding of the Catalan mega-club. However, negotiations between Barcelona and Gavi’s agent Ivan de la Pena have stalled. The sticking point is the salary offered.

“He has had our offer for a long time. We haven’t received any message that he accepts it. We have made our position clear but the player’s agent doesn’t agree with it,” Barca president Joan Laporta told L’Esportiu.
De la Pena countered at Mundo Deportivo that he was waiting for an improved Barca offer. This was agreed at a meeting with sports director Mateu Alemany two weeks ago.
This allegedly also called FC Bayern on the scene, which should also think about paying the exit clause for the top talent. However, it is questionable whether the salary offer from Munich could keep up with that of the Reds.
