The two ex-candidates Lijana Kaggwa and Nathalie Volk raise serious allegations against the casting show “Germany’s Next Top Model”. Now ProSieben apparently wants to take legal action against it.

The allegations against the model casting show “Germany’s Next Top Model” (GNTM) weigh heavily. After ex-candidate Lijana Kaggwa first pulled off the leather in a YouTube video, talking about manipulation and psychological violence on the show, among other things, Nathalie Volk jumped to her side. She also reported hair-raising. Now ProSieben is fighting back.

“Both get mail from us,” explained a GNTM spokeswoman when asked by “t-online”. So Volk asserts things in this context that we will take legal action against.” In her Instagram story, Volk reported that she suffered bruises when Heidi Klum pushed her into the pool. Volk was a candidate for the ninth season of 2014. Her Allegation also: A doctor only came to her after three days, although she was suffering from pain. And: “I have scars on my body because of Heidi. Maybe the production should suggest a psychologist for me?”

Germany’s next top model: allegations about pool splashers “unfounded”

Anyone who needs a doctor at “GNTM” or asks for a doctor will get a doctor directly and immediately, counters “GNTM” in the statement. A total of 340 candidates have been in the top 20 in the format so far. “Some are critical, which we take seriously. Others – such as Nathalie Volk – raise allegations of a pool splasher eight years later, which are unfounded.”

One of the critics is Kaggwa, who recently got the ball rolling. Kaggwa had voluntarily left the show in 2020. As a reason for her surprising exit, she cited the constant bullying of television viewers, from which she says she still suffers to this day. In her current clip, she accuses the production company, among other things, of leaving nothing to chance and of creating situations that cause dramatic scenes and should lead to disputes among the models.

Next Thursday (May 26th) the 17th season of “Germany’s next top model” will end. Five models will then fight for the prize money of 100,000 euros: Luca, Anita, Lou-Anne, Noëlla and Martina. The winner also adorns the cover of the German “Harper’s Bazaar” and becomes the face of the Mac Cosmetics campaign.
