Will cultural activities be possible next winter due to corona? The band around frontman Johannes Strate is too uncertain – and takes precautionary consequences.

The Hamburg band Revolverheld has canceled their arena tour planned for early 2023 due to corona. “Unfortunately, we fear the worst again for the winter,” said singer Johannes Strate on Thursday in a video message on Instagram.

Nobody can guarantee that cultural activities can take place in winter. “According to the statements by Drosten and Co., unfortunately, our industry is suffering from Long Covid. We will probably not remain the only ones who have to take this step now.”

The band weighed things up for a long time, but the uncertainty among the artists, the organizers and the visitors was still too great. The “New Stories” tour was scheduled to start in Leipzig on January 24 and take the band to more than a dozen cities. The last concert of the arena tour was planned for mid-February in Hamburg. Several media had previously reported.
