Leroy Sané gets his chance of probation from national coach Hansi Flick. FC Bayern Munich’s most recently weak professional is in the starting lineup in the Nations League game of the national soccer team this Tuesday (8.45 p.m. / ZDF) against Italy.

Compared to the 1-1 draw against Hungary in Budapest last Saturday, Flick has changed to a total of five positions.

Behind striker Timo Werner, Sané, Thomas Müller and the recently strong Jonas Hofmann start on the offensive in his home game in Mönchengladbach. Joshua Kimmich and Ilkay Gündogan should arrange the midfield. In central defense, Flick relies on his supposed World Cup formation with Niklas Süle and Antonio Rüdiger against the European champions. Lukas Klostermann and again David Raum defend on the outside.

After the 1-1 draw in the first leg in Italy, Flick had changed his starting XI to seven positions, and to four after the subsequent 1-1 draw against England in Munich.

The German lineup: Neuer – Klostermann, Süle, Rüdiger, Raum – Kimmich, Gündogan – Hofmann, Müller, Sané – Werner
