In the autumn, the Federal Republic could be confronted with a new corona wave. Now not only precaution is announced, but also reliability, says the Green politician.

In view of the ongoing pandemic, Bundestag Vice President Katrin Göring-Eckardt (Greens) has called for good preparation for the fall and movement in the FDP’s corona policy.

“Christian Lindner and the FDP must not slow down again when it comes to protection against Corona in autumn,” she told the editorial network Germany (RND). “The government has to focus on precautions today – for our health, our schools, the economy and the catering and cultural sectors. We need reliability.”

The only way to prevent hasty decisions if the numbers start to rise again in the fall is to prepare early. According to Göring-Eckardt, there is therefore a need for an infection protection law that will continue to function beyond September 23rd and, as required, enable mandatory mask protection, 2G and 3G rules and mandatory tests. “Here Christian Lindner and his FDP have a duty to protect the population as well as our social and economic life in the fall.”

The current version of the Infection Protection Act runs until September 23.
