In the new RTL series “Strafe”, entertainer and comedian Olli Dittrich plays a desperate pensioner who becomes a murderer. He says: “I had to go deep into my own basement for this role.”
He has been waiting for such a role for a long time. “Suddenly,” says Olli Dittrich, “the offer was there, and it was immediately clear to me: that’s it now, that’s what it has to be now.”
What had to be “now” is nothing funny, however. No new character à la Dittsche, no new TV satire: Olli Dittrich plays a murderer. “A conflicted, torn, ultimately helpless person,” he says, smiling.
