At the Queen’s 70th jubilee, there was a chance to reunite the quarreling brothers Harry and William and their families and to have a discussion. But that didn’t happen, revealed a Royal expert.

This year is an important year for the royals in Great Britain: The Queen is celebrating her 70th anniversary of the throne, the “Platinum Jubilee”. Meghan and Harry also traveled with their children Lili and Archie at the beginning of June. Little Lilibet finally got to know her grandmother, the Queen. But she was probably not allowed to see her cousins, the children of Kate and William. Royal expert Christopher Andersen revealed this in an interview with US Weekly magazine. Andersen is the author of the bestselling book Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan. According to his own statements, he should be well connected in and with the royal family.

Kate and William ‘didn’t bother’ with Harry and Meghan

He said: “William and Kate made no effort at all to introduce Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to little Lili.” He noted that there is still “a lot of tension” between Kate and William and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. “As far as I know, no one believes they spoke to each other during the celebrations.”

As he suspected, this was probably not due to stress or deadline pressure: Lili’s first birthday was celebrated at Frogmore Cottage on June 4th. But instead of attending, Kate and William traveled to Wales for an appointment. They instead attended rehearsals in Cardiff for a concert in honor of the Queen that evening.

The day before, there would have been a chance for the two families to meet: Harry and Meghan made their first public appearance as part of the platinum anniversary at the thanksgiving service in St. Paul’s Cathedral. Although Kate and William were also present at the event, they did not sit together during the service, the magazine reports.

According to the expert, the Netflix documentation that is currently being filmed about Harry and Meghan also causes mistrust: Each of their appearances is accompanied by cameras. It remains to be seen what will ultimately be shown on Netflix and whether there will be revelations.
