The drama about child abduction will soon have a happy ending. The couple who took the children to Paraguay against the will of their ex-partners also want to return.

After the happy end of the drama about child abduction, the two girls and their parents should return to Germany from Paraguay as soon as possible.

A judge for children and young people in the capital Asunción ordered the ten and eleven-year-old children to leave the country last Friday (local time). The lawyers Stephan Schultheiss and Ingo Bott had announced this.

The girls should fly back together with the parents coming from Essen and Munich. According to the information, the court decision had to be communicated to the migration authority of the South American country this Monday. After that, the children would fly as soon as possible. Exactly when was still open on Monday and should not be communicated for child protection reasons.

given to the police

On Thursday (local time), the German emigrant couple wanted for child abduction – the father of one girl and the mother of the other girl – turned themselves in to the police in Paraguay after negotiations with Schultheiss and Bott.

The couple is married to each other for the second time and emigrated to Paraguay with their two children last November without the consent of their respective ex-partners.

According to Bott, the couple also wants to return to Germany and “actively” face a German procedure there, which is located at the Essen public prosecutor’s office. This provides for the negotiated agreement between all parties involved. The prosecuting authority in the Ruhr area city must then decide whether the child abduction proceedings should be continued or discontinued.
