People are unsettled and scared, said SPD parliamentary group leader Müller – and is calling for a joint retreat for the traffic light parties.

The deputy SPD parliamentary group leader has expressed concern about the tensions in the traffic light coalition with the Greens and the FDP. “The image we are currently giving as a coalition is not good,” Müller told Die Welt. “We have a state of emergency, people are unsettled and afraid,” emphasizes the SPD politician. In such a situation, leadership is needed. That wouldn’t exist if uncoordinated individual opinions were presented every day, said Müller with a view to proposals to contain the energy crisis.
