a 16-year-old is suspected of having shot a 40-year-old man at a fair. He was provisionally arrested.

Two weeks after a fatal shot at the fair in Lüdenscheid (North Rhine-Westphalia), the police searched an apartment and provisionally arrested one person.

SEK officials were involved in the search operation on Saturday morning in Lüdenscheid, said a spokeswoman for the German Press Agency. The provisional arrest concerns a minor.

At the fair, a 40-year-old was shot at the exit of the festival area. Previously, there had been an argument between a 16-year-old and a group on the premises. The 40-year-old was apparently uninvolved.

A 16-year-old is in custody on suspicion of manslaughter. According to earlier information, he is the prime suspect. However, investigators had also received information about other suspected participants.
