She had long disappeared from the limelight, now Princess Charlène has shown herself again on stage: she awarded a prize at Fashion Week in Monte Carlo – and even brought her daughter Gabriella with her.

The two attended an awards ceremony as part of Fashion Week in Monaco and dressed up in elegant robes. For the seven-year-old princess, the appearance is doubly exciting: It’s her first official event and her mother is finally there again.
Charlène has only been back at home in the palace since mid-March. She was ill in South Africa for months, returned at the end of November and then had to go to a private clinic in Switzerland. Not an easy time for the Monegasque princely family, especially for Jaquce’s and Gabriella’s children.
It is only the second appearance for Princess Charlène
“I feel more relaxed,” said the princess at Fashion Week in an interview with “Nice Matin”. However, her health is still fragile and she does not want to go too fast. “The road was long, difficult and so painful,” says Charlène. Her health has caused a lot of speculation in the past, and her marriage to Prince Albert has also been questioned. When asked about the rumours, she replied: “We are human, just like everyone else, and have feelings and weaknesses – only that our family is exposed to the media and the slightest weakness is exploited.” Albert was very committed to her and her family, they talked about the malicious articles together.
The princess also spoke on Instagram. There she posted a photo showing her cuddling with Gabriella, writing: “Loved every moment preparing my princess for her first official event. Looking forward to a great evening at the Fashion Awards.” The two entered the stage together and presented a prize. “She wasn’t nervous at all, more amused,” Charlène later said of her daughter.
It was not until the beginning of May that the princess appeared in public with her family for the first time. At that time she attended the Formula E World Championship in Monaco.
