The “concerted action” announced by Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) with representatives of employers and employees is to start on July 4th with a first meeting.

This was reported by the news portal “The Pioneer” (Wednesday), citing government circles. This was confirmed by the German Press Agency in government circles.

According to the report, eight participants each come from trade unions and employers, and the Deutsche Bundesbank and the German Council of Economic Experts are also present.

Scholz had announced that he wanted to call together representatives of employees and employers for a “concerted action” – the aim was to discuss how the price development should be dealt with. Inflation in Germany is at a high level, mainly due to higher energy prices.
