Skunk Anansie, Tears for Fears and Nile Rodgers & Chic are the first names announced for the Parkpop festival Saturday Night festival 2019. The event takes place this year on 29 June in the Zuiderpark in Den Haag.
Skunk Anansie broke up in the nineties, with critically-acclaimed hits as Brazen (Weep), Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good) and Weak.
CHIC broke up in 1978 with world hits like Le Freak and Est-ce Que (C’est CHIC). Due to the great success of CHIC grew Rodgers from a popular producer and songwriter.
Tears For Fears shook the music world quite a bit with their now legendary releases The’re hurting (1983) and successor Songs From The Big Chair (1985), and hits like Everybody Wants To Rule The World, Shout, and Mad World.
The sale of the earlybirdtickets for the festival in The Hague, Friday started.
