Finally, there’s a first look at Dwayne Johnson as ‘Black Adam’. Pierce Brosnan can also be seen in the first trailer for the DC flick.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (50) will make his comic film debut as DC anti-hero “Black Adam” this fall. He is part of the DC family and the supposed antagonist of superhero Shazam. Now a first trailer for the new superhero adventure has been released.

“I was a slave until my death. Then I was reborn as a god. My son gave his life to save me. Now I won’t bow to anyone anymore,” announces “Black Adam” in a black suit in the first clip. In other scenes, it becomes clear what power and what anger his opponents have to reckon with.

Special role for Pierce Brosnan

Alongside a new team of superheroes, Doctor Fate (Pierce Brosnan, 69) also appears in the trailer, which lets “Black Adam” know: “You have two choices. You can destroy this world or you can save it. It’s up to you.” Doctor Fate has been trained in magic and possesses a magical helm. He is one of DC’s oldest characters, first appearing in a comic in 1940.

Also in the cast of the film are Aldis Hodge (35) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (26) as Atom Smasher and Quintessa Swindell (25) as Cyclon. “Black Adam” is scheduled to premiere in German cinemas on October 20, 2022.
