Streaming fans are eagerly awaiting the final episodes of the fourth season of “Stranger Things”. A teaser trailer now gives a first glimpse.

The new season of “Stranger Things” started with a record – and it will apparently end with dramatic scenes. Netflix has released a first teaser trailer for the upcoming episodes that are due out soon.

Warning, spoilers! “It’s over, Elf,” threatens villain Vecna in the short clip of young Elfie (Millie Bobby Brown, 18), also known as Eleven. “You set me free. You can’t stop it anymore.” The video also shows many of her friends fighting back against evil. For example, the anxious-looking Nancy (Natalia Dyer, 27), Steve (Joe Keery, 30) and Robin (Maya Hawke, 23) appear or Hopper (David Harbour, 47), who apparently runs down a corridor with a gun.

The next record is inevitable

On May 27, the streaming service released the first seven episodes of the fourth season. The final two episodes will be released on July 1st and, according to Netflix, will be around four hours long. There is currently no way around the series, at least on the platform. Between May 30 and June 5, seasons one through four also occupied the top four spots among the most-streamed English-language series.

It is also clear that “Stranger Things” will set a new record. The two seasons of “Bridgerton” are still ahead in the list of the most streamed English-language series within the first 28 days. But the first part of the fourth season of “Stranger Things” is already just behind. While the leading “Bridgerton” seasons have around 625 million and around 656 million viewing hours respectively, Eleven and her friends are already at almost 622 million with the new episodes.

In addition, the new season started with another record. The dark adventure between mystery and horror was streamed 287 million hours in just three days. The second season of Bridgerton, the previous leader, only managed 193 million viewing hours compared to when it started.
