The United States accused the international criminal court corruption

the United States accused the international criminal court (ICC) in biased investigations and corruption. This is stated in statement by the press Secretary of the White house Keighley Makineni. The document notes that the Agency, despite repeated calls by America, has not taken steps to reform himself.

the United States believes that the ICC continues to pursue politically motivated investigations. Washington is concerned that the enemies are manipulated by the office and push him to the investigation against U.S. officials.

In a statement Makinano noted that they have good reason to believe that at the highest levels of the office of the Prosecutor of the ICC present corruption, and negligent performance of duties, reports RIA Novosti.

the US President Donald trump, in turn, signed a decree which allows to impose economic sanctions against members of the court. In addition, the head of state was allowed to extend visa sanctions against officials of the ICC and members of their families, reports TASS.

In 2017, the Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda asked the judges to issue a permit for the investigation of war crimes that could be committed by the US military, CIA, Taliban (banned in Russia) in Afghanistan. The ICC supported the request. This decision caused outrage from the US.

In 2019 America has introduced visa restrictions against individuals associated with the investigation of the court. Former adviser White house national security John Bolton stated that the ICC is dead to US.
