It’s festival season again: the organizers are expecting around 78,000 visitors per day at the sold-out Hurricane Festival in Lower Saxony.

One of the biggest festivals in northern Germany is back after the compulsory Corona break: The three-day Hurricane Festival in Scheeßel between Bremen and Hamburg begins on Friday (June 17).

The festival is sold out, recently only single day tickets were available. Around 78,000 visitors are expected each day. “We are happy to finally be doing what we love again: bringing people together with music,” said a spokeswoman for the organizer FKP Skorpio Konzertproduktionen.

Like its sister festival “Southside” in Baden-Württemberg, the event with rock, pop and hip-hop is one of the largest German open-air festivals. National and international artists are expected, including Seeed, The Killers and Deichkind.
